Yoda – a major Star Wars character most commonly known for his rather petite and frail appearance and a distinguished blue skin tone. And although fictional in a sense, he is one big celebrity. As a testament to this, he was declared as the 25th most influential and most popular movie character by the Empire magazine.

Referring to the chronological time frame of the Star Wars’ plot, Yoda first appeared in the Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace. There, he was seen an important member of the Jedi Knight council. His words were almost a law despite a rather frail sounding voice.

But his position in the council was later on proven more than worthy when he showed his combat prowess in Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones. There, he acted as a general who participated in the actual war. And at the last parts of the movie, he was seen fighting against the Sith Lord – a powerful adversary.

Although Yoda seemed old and frail most of the time, it was not in the slightest bit evident during the fight. He brandished his miniature version of the Light Saber sword and showed great mastery at its use. He was also well versed at the use of a mystical power called The Force.

Later on in the story when Yoda was growing much older and weaker, he played yet another important role in the story. He was the one who trained Luke Skywalker in the art of The Force and the Light Saber. This was crucial in the story as Luke is the one destined to end the war. And by the end of it all, Yoda found peace when he died at the age of 900.
